Simone Sadocco was born in July 1998 in a small floral town in Veneto. Surrounded by natural beauty, he discovered photography early, capturing the world around him with his father’s and grandfather’s cameras from the age of 10.

After graduating from Classical High School in 2017 with a thesis titled The Mind, the Eyes, the Heart he pursued a Minor in Artistic Management, focusing on video storytelling, corporate theatre, and creative writing.


In 2020, he graduated with honors, thesis supervisor Roberta Novielli, in Cultural Heritage and Performing Arts Management at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, with a thesis exploring the link between cinema and photography.

Driven by a deep passion for visual storytelling he continued his studies in cinematography at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (CSC) - Italian National Film School.

 

He contributed to various analogue and digital projects, 

studying under Giuseppe Lanci and tutored by Daria D’Antonio, Francesco Di Giacomo, Luca Bigazzi, Fabrizio Vicari etc.

 

He has also conducted interviews with renowned figures such as Hiro Narita and Damien Chazelle and he attended Masterclasses with Giuseppe Tornatore and Martin Scorsese.

In 2024 his graduation essay  earned him the prestigious

Sony Student Award.
